Therapy dog Appy (also lovingly known as Appy fizz and Sloppy) is a part of the Raikar family in Vile Parle, Mumbai. Very loving and a extremely handsome Lab, he has a unique quality of being calm and patient even in a crowded group. He volunteers with Animal Angels as a visiting therapy dog for Mookdhwani school for the hearing and speech impaired in Parle. He also motivates children with hearing and speech impairment at Mookdhwani school Parle to communicate and express themselves. He is also a favorite among children when he goes to libraries and bookstores like Crossword, as a Reading Buddy. Children love to read out stories to him and in turn shed their inhibitions about reading out aloud.
