Ruby Hall Cancer Center Animal Angels introduced AAT in Hospitals for the first time in India Cancer is a dreaded disease in today's times which has no sure shot cure. The treatment process itself is very taxing, physically, financially and emotionally. Not just for the patient but also for the family members. An animal definitely helps in the emotional recovery and helps these patients in forgetting their physical pain. Animals Therapy thus improves the person's "Quality of Life". The touch of an animal is so soothing and comforting that it works wonders for these patients. By interacting with animals, the patient tends to forget his sorrow and pain and also gets a reason to live, something to look forward for.Therapy Dog Kiara, a Golden Retriever will be a visiting faculty for the Cancer patients at Ruby Hall Cancer Center. She is specially trained to visit hospitals and interact with the patients. Animal Angels also conducted a session for the pediatric patients suffering from thalesemia, heart disease and Cancer. Ruby Hall had organized a Christmas party for the children. Kiara was dressed up specially for the occasion as a Santa. Children were thrilled to see her and enjoyed a lot. These children who would otherwise stay gloomy due to the painful treatment had immense joy in their faces after interacting with Kiara.
